The short version of how the shop works, written so it can be read in one sitting. The same text sits behind the links in the checkout.
We ship anywhere in the United States from 821 Traction Ave, Los Angeles. Orders placed before noon Pacific go out the same day, Monday to Friday. Anything later goes out the next working day.
Shipping is $10 anywhere in the country, and free on orders of $75 and up. USPS Ground Advantage, with tracking.
Pick-up at the bar is free. Choose it at checkout and we hold your bag at 821 Traction Ave during opening hours, Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 5pm.
We do not ship outside the United States. Berlin has its own shop at Lützowstraße 92.
Coffee is roasted in small lots and shipped fresh, so we cannot take it back once it has left us.
If a bag arrives damaged, or it is not what you ordered, write to [email protected] within seven days of delivery with your order number and a photograph. We replace it or refund it, your choice.
If the coffee is not for you, tell us anyway. We would rather know.
This is what we keep, and why.
When you order, Shopify stores what is needed to fulfil it: your name, address, email and what you bought. Payment is handled by the payment provider at checkout; we never see your card number. The bag on this site is a Shopify cart id kept in your browser so it survives a page change.
When you send the wholesale form, it goes to [email protected] and we keep it for as long as the conversation lasts.
We count page views with Cloudflare's analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites. There are no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies here. Shopify's checkout sets the cookies it needs to work.
